30.10.08 Newsletter

Hi everybody!!

Aaaah, I'm loving this brisk, fresh, cool weather. I'm strange, I know. But I actually enjoy autumn very much.

I had an awesome week-end. Pierrefonds was amazing. At least two people came to Christ, which is awesome news. I had a great time, and the only thing that I lacked was to have some young people from St. Mark's to share the experience with... A bit dissapointing, but I'm sure that you'll come by the thousands next year!!

Here's this week's news. I'll be quick.

There's no youth group on, as it's the holidays, this Sunday. From the Sunday afterwards, we'll be starting a new series of studies, from an excellent book, called SUbstance, which I'm very excited about. I really encourage you to make the effort out of bed on Sunday morning, because we're going to be going through very interesting stuff.

In other news, I've been calling up retreat centers to try and find a place where we could hold our youth retreat and they're all booked up. So I'm going to ask Paul if we could consider having it at church, exceptionally. We'll have a better venue next year if I start preparing it way in advance. On the other hand, if you know anybody in church who has a holiday house not too far from Paris where we could go, it would be awesome if you could put them in contact with me. We were hoping to have it around December time, but we're still flexible for that.

And then in other news, on Saturday November the 29th, there's a soirée PULSE on in Elancourt. A good friend of mine, Nicolas Grandemange who's been a massive spiritual mentor for me is doing the talk so I'm really excited about that. Keep your evening free!!

Good news: we have cooks for the next two Fusions (9th and 23rd of November. Save the dates!!), so if anybody would like to volunteer for the 7th of December, we'll be all booked up until the new year cookwise, which is awesome. Any takers for the 7th of December gap?

And finally, I've been challenged lately by a blog post by one of my favorite preachers to start a blog myself. I'll be talking about anything and everything, like most bloggers do, but mainly about God, as most sensible bloggers do (and there aren't very many of those...). So you can keep up to date with my posting on http://lambertspace.blogspot.com/. There's loads of space for your comments.

Voila for the news.

See you soon,

Nathan
